Road Cyclist

Wayne has been a member of the Northern Districts Cycling Club since 1992 and is currently the club coach and is actively promoting junior development in cycling. He is the manager of the Plan B Racing Team, which is West Austrlians first and only National Road Series Team. Wayne has been appointed Manager of Cameron Meyer, Travis Meyer and Luke Durbridge under Wayne and Melissa Managemnet company of Lion Sports Managemnet.

Recreational Rider

Melissa is Wayne's wife and co-owner of Cyclemania. Her role is book-keeping and all things administrative, all these things keep her busy hidden away in her office but she can often be seen serving customers out the front and answering the phone when it gets hectic in the shop. She loves to ride her bike for leisure.

Road Cylist

Nick has over 15 years experience in the bicycle industry, he is one of our most knowledgeable staff on all aspects of cycling. Nick has completed his Level 0 coaching course and holds clinics for Cyclemania/Perth Integrated Health. He is one of our leaders of the Saturday morning Cyclemania Shop ride. Nick commutes everyday to work and trains up to 300km per week and enjoys racing in criteriums.

Road/Track Rider.

In February 2010 Smokefree Perth Critireum Series A.J placed third in Stage one at Joondalup, won stage 2 at Leedeerville and came second overall on General Classification for the 4 day series event. He is also the State Hill Climb Champion 2010/2011. A.J won the Gold medal for the 2009 State Crit Title, he also recently completed in the Tour De Perth, as a member of the Plan B team who won overall.

A.J came from a BMX background and has been riding and racing road bikes for 2 years. He is a member of the Plan B W.A Racing Team and has raced in Asia. His riding achievements include: 4th State Road Race 2008, 1st State Team Time Trial Championship 2008, 3rd Pemberton Classic 2009, 5th State Criterium 2009, 5th State Time Trail 2009, 6th State Road Race 2009. A.J is often the man to beat on the Saturday Morning Cyclemania Shop Ride. A.J has mechanical and overall bicycle knowledge to a very high standard.

Mountain Bike

Richard hails from Dunedin, New Zealand, where he earned his mountain bike stripes in the Central Otago plains and Southern Alps. Richard is skilled in all aspects of mountain biking, cross country, downhill and especially mountain bike trials. Some major acheivements include winning the NZ Open Men Observed Trials for '94 and '95.

To keep up with the wear and tear on his bikes he developed a passion for "cycle mechanics". Richard has worked in the industry for 14 years throughout New Zealand, the UK and Australia bringing him into contact with all aspects of cycling. He specialises in wheel building and high end road servicing as well as out of the ordinary and customised bikes.

Richard has gained respect from Olympic, Commonwealth Games and World Champion athletes from maintaining their bikes. His attention to detail and love of mechanics ensure that his services are highly regarded and sought after by Cyclemania customers.

Road/Track rider

Tom is studying full time and is one of our casual staff. Tom has raced as one of the best juniors in the state. His achievements include the State Record for the under 13 1km Pursuit, Winner of B grade in the Peter Clark Memorial 2009, 4th in the Team Pursuit 2008 Track Nationals and 2ND under 17 State Team Time Trial 2009.

Mitch as won Bronze in the Under 17 Mens Individual National Time Trial 2009. He has come 1st in Stage one in the Bay Crits Support Race 2010 and came first in the general classification in the support race in the 2010 Bay Crits.

Luke is a casual staff member who studies full time. Luke is a very talented rider with a bright future in a road racing career. He was the winner of the Stan Gurney B Grade race in 2009 and came 4th in the State Road Titles in 2009.

Melissa H won Gold in the Junior Womens Teams Pursuit Race at The Junior World Championships in Moscow in 2009, they also hold the Junior World Record. At the 2010 Track Nationals, Melissa along with her team mates won Gold in the Open Womens Team Pursuit and Bronze in the Open Womens Team Sprint.

Arron is a full time staff member, he trains most days of the week including participating in the Cyclemania Shop ride every Saturday. He has recently started racing his bike. Aaron can assist you with your bike and accessories queries.

Elliott has completed his University Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently taking a year out to concentrate on his cycling. Elliott won The Open Road State Title in 2008 and has lived and raced in Gent, Belguim for a short period of time, has has also raced in Thailand and East Java and is part of the Plan B W.A Racing Team. Elliott recently won the King Of The Mountain Jersey at the 2009 Tour De Perth and the Plan B Team was the winning team overall.
